I have been a holistic health professional for over 20 years. In my twenties I lived and worked with the PeaceWeavers, a community dedicated to peaceful living through healthy lifestyle and service, where I cooked for private clients, retreats and PeaceWeaver events. Through my work with the PeaceWeavers, I cared for an old Buddhist monk, Bhante Dharmawara, who shared stories from his life of traveling the world and being of service. He had a close relationship with Prime Minister Nehru and worked with Mahatma Gandhi. He led the “Green Light” meditation and was passionate about supporting people in making healthy choices.
Bhante insisted that healthy diet, lifestyle and colon cleansing were essential for vital health and longevity, he would often say “cluttered colon, cluttered mind” and “if your digestive system does not work properly than how can you expect your body to work properly?” Working with Bhante, I became a colon therapist in 1994. Bhante continued to travel the world and would stay with the PeaceWeavers every couple of years; he lived to be 110 years old.
I moved to Chester County, Pennsylvania and opened the Art of Health and the AoH School of Colon Hydrotherapy. In 2005, I became a certified Integrative Nutrition Coach and have been educating people about the wonders of the digestive system, the ease and fun of whole foods cooking and that healthy living is an art that can be easy and fun!
I am a National Board Certified Colon Hydro-Therapist, Instructor of Colon Hydrotherapy and a Certified Integrative Nutrition Coach. I am a member of The International Association of Colon Hydrotherapy and the American Association of Drugless Practitioners.
